Ms. Kat moved to Red Maple last year and is very happy to work with two year olds. Kat believes that children should be immersed in God’s creation, where they can build their curiosity and learn through self-driven play. She joined FCP in 2016 and has experience in all the downstairs classrooms. Kat is an East Tennessee native and has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature with an emphasis in 17th century drama and Shakespeare. She lives with her husband, Mr. Gosh (Josh), and a herd of inside and outside pets--6 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 guinea pigs. Kat loves to sing karaoke, play golf, read plays, listen to Broadway albums, and watch live theater. She names her late Aunt Sissy as her role model “because she was a teacher, actress, and beautiful woman.”
Ms. Danielle moved to Tennessee in March 2020 from her home state of Georgia. She’s a graduate of Piedmont College, where she earned a BA in Early Childhood Education. For Danielle, a good school day involves everyone working together as a team to take care of each other and enjoy learning together. Her own happy preschool memories are of the dramatic play center and singing. Danielle would someday like to be in educational leadership. Her role model is “a precious assistant principal I worked for who told me I can set the world on fire, just not all in one day.” Danielle and her husband have an infant son as well as a horse, a dog, 2 cats, and 2 rabbits. The Harry Potter series sparked Danielle’s love for reading and literacy. Her favorites also include Downton Abbey, the downtown farmer’s market, cheesecake, and fall and winter.
