HAPPY FALL Y’ALL!
The kiddos and teachers are enjoying (slightly) cooler weather and are having fun watching the leaves fall on our playground. Last week, our 3’s class harvested our first pumpkin from the playground garden! We’re excited for the change of seasons and looking forward to all the fun Autumnal events our staff and FUMC has planned!
THE CDC IS CLOSED FRIDAY, 10/5/18!
As a reminder, the CDC will be closed on Friday, 10/5/18 for Teacher In-Service Day.
The CDC will also be closed Wednesday, 11/21 – Friday, 11/23 for Thanksgiving Break.
PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT
Our First Parents’ Night Out is this Friday, 10/5 from 6 – 10 p.m. Registration for this event is closed, but please mark your calendar for November’s PNO: Friday, 11/2/18! Registration for that event is due by Friday, 10/26/18.
FUMC FALL FEST
SAVE THE DATE FOR FUMC’S ANNUAL FALL FEST: OCTOBER 29 FROM 5:30 – 7:30. This fantastic event is a favorite for the FUMC community and we want the CDC families to join in the fun! The evening will include an awesome “Trunk or Treat,” games, and fellowship. Fall Fest has a wonderful history of providing a safe, inclusive environment for children of all abilities, so many participants will be children with exceptionalities and games will be developed that are inclusive for all.
PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY!!!
Please, please, please drive very slowly and with great caution as you drop off and pick up your children. We have had a number of cars driving far too fast and this is particularly dangerous at the 9:00 and 2:00 hours when a large number of families are arriving/departing and children are crossing the parking lot. Thank you for DRIVING SLOWLY and keeping our CDC children safe!
As a reminder… children cannot bring breakfast to school. We know that mornings can be busy, but our early care classroom provides care for many students, several with life-threatening food allergies and the risk of cross-contamination is simply too high. Additionally, DHS only allows breakfast for programs that open before 7:00, so please feed your children breakfast before arriving at school.
SEARCHING FOR GROSS MOTOR TOYS
Do you have tricycles, cozy coupes or other gross motor toys that you’re not using? If so, we’d love to have them! We want to create a gross motor play area in the Fellowship Hall to use on rainy days and need to add some toys! Thank you!
